To Our Donors:

NothingCanStopMe.org is a group of caring individuals who come together to help children with disabilities in wheelchairs feel the “thrill of motion”, by pushing the children at various race events throughout southern California. Many children with disabilities do not normally have the opportunity to experience these types of events, but with the help of our dedicated runners, this is made possible.

Nothing Can Stop Me was founded by Craig and Monica Hathaway, parents of Mauricio, a seven year old boy born with severe cerebral palsy. Craig, being a running enthusiast, decided to take Mauricio with him in a jogger. “The smile on Mauricio’s face and the sounds of excitement he made as we were running were priceless! He was so happy!” After that moment, Craig and a running partner, Giovanni Sanchez, decided to give that joy to other children like Maruicio, who might not otherwise feel that thrill.

They have participated in several charitable runs, pushing special needs kids along the way, including the Run For Her, 999 for Kids, Achievable Foundation, Orange County Marathon, the Los Angeles Marathon, and various others. Participation in these events is made possible from the kind donations from the public, and friends and families of special needs children.

Donations are always welcome, and we can’t express how thankful we are to our donors. These donations are used to purchase special needs joggers. Many of the children we serve are too large for traditional size joggers, so joggers made especially for children with special disabilities must be used for the maximum comfort and safety of the child and the runner. The participating children vary in their degree of disability. Runners of all levels (including walkers) are welcome!

Your company can sponsor a “jogger”, which can contain your logo for maximum visibility and exposure at events throught Southern California. Sponsorship of running teams is also available. This consists of paying the registration fees of both runner and child at any of the running events Nothing Can Stop Me participates in.

Volunteers are always welcome, and can help on the day of the race by assisting with the coordination of runners and registration materials, distributing t-shirts, and helping to match runners with children.
